Bethany Beach

The Town of Bethany Beach was founded in 1901. This friendly and family town calls itself “The Quiet Resort” which also includes the towns of Fenwick Island and South Bethany. Despite its small size, BethanyBethany Beach Boardwalk has all the usual attractions of a seaside resort, including a short boardwalk, wide sandy beaches, great restaurants and amazing vacation homes.

Travel & Leisure Magazine actually named Bethany Beach one of the “Best Secret Beaches on Earth!” This region offers something for everyone with kayaking, surfing, boating, stand-up paddling, windsurfing a few golf courses. Being bordered by Delaware Seashore State Parks, there are tons of opportunities to get out and enjoy the coastal lifestyle. Travelers can enjoy surf fishing, guided tours or even dolphin watching. Just north of Bethany Beach is the Indian River Inlet, which offers great fishing from the jetties.  Indian River Inlet offers access into the inner waterways to Indian River Bay as well as Rehoboth Bay.

A slower pace of life, large expanses of undeveloped area, and the local hospitality make the Bethany Beach real estate market very desirable. North Bethany Beach is mainly an area of private condominiums and spectacular beach homes between the park and the town. Most of the ocean front home communities include private beaches with only private access.

South Bethany has many homes located on canals for direct bay access.South Bethany Canal Access Bethany Beach does not sit on a barrier island, so residential areas continue some distance to the west of the town’s limits. Just minutes to the west, the towns of Ocean View and Dagsboro can offer some great values in Bethany Beach real estate with some beautiful homes located on or near the Indian River Bay.
